Three friends killed in Alwar crash

Alwar: Three friends riding a motorbike were killed late Saturday night in Moti Nagar after a speeding car allegedly chased and hit them, police said. The crash occurred around 10:30 pm and is suspected to be linked to an old enmity, based on a complaint from the victims’ family.The impact was so severe that the motorbike and the car struck a 5-foot-high drain wall, breaking part of it. One person was thrown into the drain and the motorbike was shattered, according to local accounts. The deceased were identified as Jitendra Singh Rajput (22), Yuvraj Saini (21), and Himanshu Sharma (22).The incident took place near Kali Mori under the Aravalli Vihar police station area. CCTV cameras installed at nearby houses reportedly captured the car chasing the motorbike. The families have filed a named case against Sachin Meena and his associates, alleging the three were killed due to enmity. They also alleged that after the collision, the three were struck on the head with stones.From 8 am on Sunday, family members and locals protested at Bijli Ghar Chauraha outside the district hospital, demanding immediate arrests and seeking death penalty for the accused. They refused to end the protest or accept the bodies until the accused were arrested. After talks throughout the day, an agreement was reached around 5 pm. Police assured the families the accused would be arrested within 72 hours, after which the families agreed to allow post-mortems.
