Surat: Surat police have lined up a series of public programmes to mark Gujarat Day on May 1, offering citizens a mix of displays and performances.A special weapons exhibition will be held from April 29 to May 1 at the Indoor Stadium in Athwalines. The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 10.30am to 6pm on all three days, with extended hours till 10.30pm on the final day.In addition, a ‘Mashal PT’ programme has been scheduled at 7.30pm on April 30 at the SMC plot near Umra police station. The event will feature coordinated formations by artists using flaming torches.Both programmes will be inaugurated by deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghvi.
