Chennai: Southern Railway will operate three pairs of EMU passenger special trains between Arakkonam and Tiruttani from Aug 5 to 7 to handle the expected surge of devotees travelling for the Aadi Krithigai festival at Tiruttani Murugan temple. The special services will be operated by extending select EMU trains up to Tiruttani, providing additional connectivity on the busy suburban corridor.According to a press release issued by Chennai Division on Tuesday, the trains will make three round trips a day. Passenger Special (PS-1), No. 43407/43418, will leave Arakkonam at 10.20am, reach Tiruttani at 10.40am, depart at 10.50am and return to Arakkonam at 11.15am. PS-2 (No. 43411/43422) will operate between 1pm and 1.50pm, while PS-3 (No. 43413/43424) will run between 2.50pm and 3.40pm.
