Bengaluru: A special campaign for revision of electoral rolls under SIR will be held across Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday.The campaign is organised as per the directions of the Election Commission of India to help citizens file claims and objections to the draft electoral roll published on Aug 24 for all 28 assembly constituencies under the jurisdiction of Bengaluru district election officer. Citizens can submit claims and objections to the draft roll until Sept 23. During the two-day special campaign, voter registration facilities will be available at the offices of electoral registration officers (EROs), assistant EROs, ward offices and polling stations under Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA).The campaign will provide an opportunity for people to check their electoral roll details and submit claims or objections, if required.Citizens seeking information or facing difficulties related to voter registration can contact the district voter helpline 1950. The district election authorities have urged citizens to make use of the special campaign before the claims and objections deadline.
