Jaipur: Global packaging inks leader Siegwerk is accelerating its expansion in Rajasthan with plans to scale up capacity at its Bhiwadi facility.The 19‑acre campus currently produces 35,000 tonnes annually and employs about 600 people. The company is now positioning the site as a manufacturing, technology and innovation hub, making India one of its most strategically important bases worldwide.Ashish Pradhan, president, Siegwerk Asia, said, “We are planning significant investment to expand capacity at Bhiwadi. With greater automation, the site is expected to emerge as Siegwerk’s largest Centre of Excellence globally.”The expansion shifts the role of Bhiwadi from serving mainly the Indian market to becoming a platform for developing products, technologies and expertise for customers across Asia and beyond. The company is also building its India Global Capability Centre at the campus to support functions outside the domestic market.Marking 20 years of operations in India, Siegwerk’s growth has been reinforced by acquisitions. Its purchase of Hi‑Tech Inks created what it calls the country’s largest flexible packaging inks business, strengthening its portfolio and market presence.Pradhan said India has become central to Siegwerk’s global growth story. He added the company will continue investing in manufacturing, people, technology and customer capabilities, while deepening India’s role in its worldwide network.
