Schools to universities, education expo opens in Greater Noida

Noida: The three-day Bharat Shiksha Expo 2026 was inaugurated on Thursday by DM Medha Roopam at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida. The event, which will continue till May 16, has brought universities, schools, EdTech firms, study-abroad consultants and skill development institutes under one roof.Officials said the event was planned especially for students from classes 9 to 12 who are seeking guidance on stream selection, higher education opportunities and career choices following the announcement of CBSE board examination results.Students and parents attending the event will be able to directly interact with counsellors and representatives of educational institutions to explore courses and career pathways in fields such as engineering, medicine, law, management, design, liberal arts, artificial intelligence, data science and vocational education. Participants from India and abroad are showcasing educational programmes, admission processes, scholarship opportunities and emerging industry trends.The programme will also host counselling sessions, panel discussions, hackathons, quizzes, robotics workshops, AR/VR experiences and other interactive activities aimed at familiarising students with evolving technologies and professional fields.Special sessions on implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, digital learning and AI-driven education are also being organised.“We are witnessing a rapid transformation in the education sector, where students today are required to make informed academic and career choices at an early stage. Platforms like this provide direct access to institutions, counsellors and emerging career opportunities, helping students and parents understand the changing demands of higher education and industry,” said DM Medha Roopam.A key event at the expo is the ‘Vishwa Guru Sammelan’ — a conference focusing on educational reforms, skill integration, innovation and India’s role in the global knowledge economy. The event aims to create a bridge between students’ aspirations and the changing demands of higher education and employment sectors, officials added.
