Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday constituted a nine-member manifesto committee for the 2027 Punjab assembly elections.The committee will be headed by party veteran Balwinder Singh Bhunder, while Daljit Singh Cheema will serve as member secretary. The other members are Gulzar Singh Ranike, Hira Singh Gabria, Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Bikram Singh Majithia, Sikander Singh Maluka, Sohan Singh Thandal and Harcharan Singh Bains.“Presidents of the party’s various wings—including youth, women, trade & industry, legal, SOI, employees, ex-servicemen and minorities—will be special invitees to the committee,” the SAD said.“The committee will travel across Punjab and engage extensively with farmers, workers, traders, industrialists, youth, women, employees and other sections of society to understand their aspirations, concerns and priorities. Their views and suggestions will form an important basis for shaping the SAD’s election manifesto, ensuring that it reflects the voice and aspirations of the people of Punjab,” the party added.
