Rally in Kolkata demands release of Bangla monk

Kolkata: Two charitable organisations took out a rally from Sealdah station to the office of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission on Saturday demanding release of Chinmay Prabhu—a monk in Bangladesh who has been behind bars for nearly two years. Members of the Nationalist Citizens Party of India joined the rally later.The two organisations—Vivekananda Mission Seva Pratisthan and International Society of Loknath—gave a call for the rally. “We have seen how Chinmay Prabhu was jailed after he spoke for the minorities. The minorities in Bangladesh are still facing torture. This has to stop.
