Gurgaon: A five-year-old boy died after falling from the second-floor terrace of a rented house in Khoh village on Friday evening. The child was playing with his parents when the accident took place.The family of the deceased, Aarav Yadav, is originally from Muraithi village in Farrukhabad. They shifted to Khoh three years ago and had been living in a rented house since then.According to police, Aarav was on the terrace with his parents around 6 pm when he moved towards the edge and lost his balance. The terrace had a railing about one foot high. He fell from a height of around 35 feet.Family members rushed Aarav to Fortis Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Aarav was the couple’s only child.The victim’s father, Rahul Yadav, works as a labourer at a private factory in IMT Manesar. The family has not alleged any foul play in the incident. Police have initiated an inquest proceeding into the incident. An officer said that prima facie, it was an accident and denied any suspicion pertaining to the death of the child. The body was handed to the family after the autopsy on Saturday.
