Chandigarh: Harpreet Singh Sudan, a 2013-batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, Friday joined the municipal corporation (MC), Chandigarh, as special municipal commissioner.The exact responsibilities of the newly appointed officer are yet to be finalised. Sources said Sudan may either be allotted specific departments or serve as a coordinating link between the three joint municipal commissioners and the MC commissioner.The post was earlier held by Pradeep Kumar, who is being relieved.
