Pune: Ambegaon police have arrested three men after one of them allegedly opened fire at a man (24) in the parking lot of a residential building in Ambegaon Pathar around 1.30am on Friday.The victim’s mother lodged a complaint with the police on Friday afternoon. The police have also launched a manhunt for their two accomplices, who waited outside the building.The police also recovered two country-made pistols, one of which was used to fire at the victim. Sharad Zine, senior inspector of Ambegaon police, said, “The man did not sustain any injury, as the bullet missed him.”“We have arrested Shivdatta alias Sonya Kondhare (23) of Ambegaon, Shreyash Rupesh Kate (23) of Dhayari Phata, and Suraj Subhash Dimble (23) of Kalyan village. Kondhare had opened fire in the parking area of a residential building.”“We recovered the weapon used in the crime immediately after arresting them, while the second weapon was recovered during interrogation,” he said. “It was not immediately known from where they procured these country-made pistols,” he added.According to the police, the complainant’s son, who works as a casual worker, had gone somewhere and returned to the building and was parking his motorcycle. “This is when five people arrived,” Zine said.“Three of them went into the parking lot and threatened the victim with dire consequences over an old rivalry. The victim ran towards the staircase when Kondhare opened fire at him,” he said.“After the firing, all five fled the scene. The victim knew them and had identified them. He provided us with their descriptions, following which we arrested them,” he said.
