Bhilwara: Food safety officials seized and destroyed 200 kg of suspected adulterated mawa found in a bus near the private bus stand at Landmark Hotel in Bhilwara Sunday as part of the state govt’s ‘Shuddh Aahar-Milawat Par Vaar’ campaign ahead of Deepawali.Bhilwara chief medical and health officer Dr Sanjeev Sharma said the owner of the mawa package could not be identified during the inspection. A sample was collected and sent to a laboratory for testing, while the remaining mawa was destroyed.Sharma urged people to check the quality and reliability of food items while shopping for the festival. He also appealed to the public to inform the control room about any suspected food adulteration or suspicious food products.
