Bengaluru: As news of the flash floods broke, gloom settled over a city home where two children, along with other family members, waited anxiously for a call or message from their parents, who have been missing since Wednesday in Tibet Autonomous Region.The two were among a group of 77 pilgrims from Isha Foundation who were returning from Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and were at Gyirong immigration centre in Tibet when flash floods struck.The two, both in their early 40s, live in Florida, United States. “They had come to Bengaluru to drop off their daughters — aged 13 and 15 — at a relative’s place and then left for the pilgrimage. We learnt they had reached the immigration centre at 9.05am. After that, there has been no communication,” a family member said.The family said the couple’s last mobile activity indicated they were at the immigration centre when disaster struck. They later received confirmation from Isha Foundation that the group was present at the centre.
