Ahmedabad: The admissions to 10 paramedical courses, including nursing and physiotherapy, have been expedited this year, with the second round announced even before the completion of the first round. Of the total 48,280 seats, 21,388 were allotted in Round 1.The admission committee has already opened the choice-filling schedule for the second round, as the admissions have to be completed by Sept 30, a deadline set by a separate council constituted for the first time for courses including physiotherapy and nursing.Sept 19 is the last date for students allotted seats in the first round to confirm their admissions. Meanwhile, students have been asked to submit their choices for the second round from Sept 17 until 11am on Sept 21. The committee is also expected to announce the third round before the second round is completed.Committee members said that waiting for each round to end before announcing the next would leave time for only two rounds by Sept 30. The accelerated schedule is intended to allow a separate round for vacant seats in govt colleges.
