Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday asserted that not a single recruitment examination paper had leaked in Punjab during the tenure of the AAP govt led by chief minister Bhagwant Mann.AAP state media in-charge Baltej Pannu said the Congress and the BJP were “deliberately twisting facts”. “The incident reported in Faridkot was not a paper leak but a case of cheating through electronic gadgets. The candidate was caught red-handed at the examination centre itself, and the police immediately initiated strict legal action. Despite this, the Congress is deliberately portraying the incident as a paper leak to mislead the public,” he said.On July 19, Punjab Police and Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) flying squads uncovered a high-tech interstate cheating racket during the pharmacy officer recruitment examination. The Congress and the BJP had on Wednesday alleged paper leaks in Punjab. Pannu accused the two parties of playing politics over students’ anger over NEET paper leak. “The students’ movement has become so powerful that it has shaken even the Congress, which once ruled the country. However, rather than supporting the students’ demand for justice, the Congress and the BJP are attempting to mislead people by spreading misinformation about Punjab,” he added.
