NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday closed New Delhi Metro station until further notice, taking the total number of Metro stations shut across the national capital to 18.In a fresh advisory, the DMRC said entry, exit and interchange facilities at New Delhi Metro station will remain unavailable until further instructions.Earlier in the day, the Metro operator had announced the closure of 17 stations from 7.30 am on Friday, citing “security reasons”, as restrictions continued for the third consecutive day amid the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protest at Jantar Mantar.With the closure of New Delhi Metro station, the total number of affected stations has increased to 18.The stations currently shut are Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan and New Delhi.
