Ludhiana: Mayor Inderjit Kaur and newly appointed municipal corporation commissioner Ojasvi Alankar conducted surprise field inspections at 7 a.m. Tuesday under the “Clean Punjab” mission.Alankar inspected main roads and residential areas near Samrala Chowk during his first official field review. He warned that negligence would not be tolerated and ordered zonal commissioners to conduct regular field visits, gather resident feedback, and swiftly resolve local issues. He also urged citizens to stop dumping waste in public spaces.Simultaneously, the mayor inspected municipal garbage compactor sites near Pavilion Mall, Cheema Chowk, and Chandigarh Road. She ordered health department officials to maintain strict hygiene standards inside and around the facilities.
