MUMBAI: The Traffic Police have announced restrictions for motorists in central Mumbai on May 1 as the Maharashtra Day Parade is being organised at Shivaji Park.The restrictions mentioned below shall come into effect between 6 am and noon.A) Road closed & one-way for vehicles:1) Keluskar Road South and Keluskar Road North shall be closed for all vehicular traffic (except invitees)2) SK Bole Road shall be one way from Siddhivinayak Junction to Portuguese Church Juncton.3) Entry for vehicular traffic shall be restricted from Siddhivinayak junction to Yes Bank junction on Swatantraveer Savarkar Road.4) Vehicular traffic proceeding from Siddhivinayak junction through Veer Savarkar road shall take a right turn at Siddhivinayak junction, proceed through SK Bole Road, take A left turn at Portuguese Church-Proceed through Gokhale Road- Gadkari Junction- LJ Road- Raja Bade Chowk towards western suburbs.5) Entry for vehicular traffic shall be restricted from Yes Bank junction to Siddhivinayak Junction. Vehicles shall proceed by taking left turn at Yes Bank junction-than proceed through- Pandurang Naik road- right turn at Raja Bade Chowk- LJ Road- Gadkari Junction- then proceed through Gokhale road towards South Mumbai.B) No parking:1) Keluskar Road South & North2) Pandurang Naik Road3) NC Kelkar Road from Gadkari Chowk to Kotwal Garden.C) Parking for police/BMC/PWD vehicles:1) Veer Savarkar Smarak hall2) Vanita Samaj Hall3) Mahatma Gandhi Swimming Pool4) Kohinoor PPL, DadarD) Route march: The Parade Route march shall commence from Shivaji Park ground through Gate No. 5, will proceed along left turn- Keluskar road (North)- C Ramchandra Chowk- left turn – Veer Savarkar road- South bound- Keluskar road South junction- Right turn-will end at Narali Baug.Motorists are advised to avoid the above route between 6 am and noon. Signage will be placed and police personnel shall also be deployed at various places to direct motorists and pedestrians.E) Parking instructions for those without car pass:Citizens without car passes shall park their vehicles at Kohinoor Parking Lot of BMC at Dadar.
