A vehicle impounded in the drive
Chandigarh: Stepping up its drive against encroachments and unauthorised vending, the municipal corporation’s enforcement wing Thursday carried out citywide operations, impounded vehicles, cleared public spaces and issued 63 challans.At the Fun Republic parking in Manimajra, six illegally parked vehicles were impounded and the area was cleared to improve access and utilisation. Simultaneously, teams conducted anti-encroachment and anti-vending drives in Sectors 40, 22, 46 and 45, besides Industrial Area Phases I and II, removing unauthorised vendors and clearing obstructions from roads and footpaths.The MC said the drives aim to ensure smooth movement, maintain public order and protect civic amenities across the city.
