Bengaluru: An unlocked PG room became an easy target for burglars, who allegedly walked away with laptops and mobile phones belonging to three friends early on Sept 3.According to a complaint filed by P Suresh Kumar Reddy, a private firm employee residing in a PG accommodation in Om Shakti Layout of Garvebhavipalya, he returned to his PG room around 2am after work and fell asleep without locking the door. When he woke up around 6am, he was shocked to find electronic devices missing.The stolen items included the victim’s company laptop and a mobile phone. A laptop belonging to his friend and another friend’s laptop and two phones were also stolen. The friends searched their room and surrounding areas but could not find the missing devices. Suspecting that thieves had entered the PG while they were asleep, the victim filed a complaint with Begur police. A case has been registered under Section 305 of BNS. Police are examining CCTV footage and other possible leads to nab the thieves.
