Fazilka: Two people were killed and two others injured following a clash over a plot of land in the border village of Teja Ruhela in Fazilka district, police said on Wednesday.A boundary demarcation dispute had been ongoing between neighbours Raj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. Raj’s son Gurpreet Singh said Harbhajan and his accomplices forcibly entered their 1.5-acre plot on Tuesday evening and ran a tractor over their standing paddy crop. “When my father and aunt Maya Bai protested, Harbhajan drove his tractor over them,” Gurpreet said. Maya Bai died at the spot, while Raj succumbed to his injuries at a hospital later that night. A relative, Swarno Bai, suffered a broken arm, while Harbhajan was also injured in the clash. Both are hospitalised. DSP B S Randhawa said police are investigating the incident and both bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
