Judgment reserved in tollbooth case against Maha min

Panaji: A Mapusa court on Friday reserved judgment in the 2013 Dhargalim-Pernem tollbooth vandalism case involving Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane. The order is expected on July 16.After a warrant was issued against Rane, He appeared before the court on Monday. He had appeared at the police station on Sunday and furnished a personal bail bond.Goa police arrested the minister and eight others after they allegedly ransacked a tollbooth near the Maharashtra-Goa border at Dhargalim, Pernem, and assaulted staff members there.The occupants of one of the vehicles got into an argument over the entry fee with the booth staff and allegedly assaulted them. They were being charged RS 250 per vehicle. The staff members explained to them that the fee was stipulated by govt.
