Bengaluru: Swift action by a Hoysala police team helped reunite a four-year-old girl with her mother within an hour after she went missing while playing near her home in Agrahara Layout, Sampigehalli, Sunday.The girl’s mother realised her daughter was missing around 11.30am and began searching frantically. A neighbour alerted the police control room (112), following which a Hoysala patrol reached the spot and gathered details from the family. Police learnt that the child had wandered away unnoticed while playing outside. Using CCTV footage from nearby shops and speaking to local residents, the team traced her movements towards Markandeya Layout, nearly a kilometre away. Accompanied by the girl’s mother, the Hoysala personnel rushed there and found the child safe near a shop.Toddler rescuedIn another incident, Hoysala personnel rescued a 14-month-old boy who accidentally locked himself inside his house in CV Raman Nagar Saturday. The toddler’s parents were outside when he pulled the door shut from inside, activating the automatic lock. After the father called the police control room, a Hoysala patrol was dispatched. The officers broke open the main door and rescued the child, police said.
