Kolkata: An IndiGo flight from Kolkata to Gorakhpur carrying 185 passengers was grounded at Kolkata airport after its crew member found a bomb threat letter in the aircraft lavatory moments before its take-off. After security checks of the aircraft and luggage, the letter turned out to be a hoax as no explosive device was detected.Airport officials said the handwritten note on a toilet paper stated that a bomb had been placed in the aircraft, triggering a security alert that continued till late evening. The flight was scheduled to take off at 4 pm, but it was stuck at the airport till late evening. Passengers were asked to deboard the flight and were taken to a safe area inside the terminal. Authorities said they were also examining how the note was placed inside the aircraft.
