Ahmedabad: Gujarat University has announced a revised schedule for the PhD admission process for 2026-27, providing an additional opportunity for candidates whose admission formalities are pending only due to physical verification of hard copies.According to the latest university notification, only those PhD admission applicants whose physical verification of hard-copy documents remains pending will be allowed to complete the process. Such candidates can visit their respective departments for verification during office hours on Sept 23 and 24.The university has also revised the date of the PhD entrance exam to Oct 3 from noon to 2pm.The development comes amid the ongoing PhD admission process at Gujarat University. The university had invited applications for PhD admissions, with registration initially scheduled between Aug 25 and Sept 7. The registration deadline was subsequently extended, with around 1,700 candidates registering for the process.With the physical verification window now limited to Sept 23 and 24, candidates concerned have been asked to ensure that they report to their respective departments within office hours and complete the pending documentation.
