Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday inaugurated the PB Patan Janata Cancer Hospital in Patan, established by the Jeevan Jyot Charitable Trust. According to an official statement, the hospital has been equipped with a Rs 22 crore linear accelerator for radiotherapy treatment.Addressing the gathering, Patel said the facility will make specialised cancer care more accessible to patients in Patan and neighbouring regions. The statement added that the hospital will also provide PET scan services, a facility that was previously unavailable in North Gujarat.PET scans will be offered free of cost to Ayushman Bharat cardholders, the statement said.
