Noida: Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, has signed an MoU with the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) to launch a certified digital health course aimed at creating a skilled workforce for the rapidly evolving healthcare sector.Under the collaboration, GIMS will offer the NABH Certified Digital Health Practitioner (CDHP) course to healthcare professionals, IT professionals and other eligible candidates. The programme will focus on areas such as Hospital Management Information Systems (HMIS), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), healthcare data analytics, cybersecurity, digital health applications and claims processing.Officials said the growing use of digital systems in hospitals and healthcare institutions has increased the demand for professionals who understand both healthcare delivery and technology. The course will also cover digital health standards, interoperability, data management and technology-enabled clinical workflows.The programme is expected to prepare professionals to work across hospitals, healthcare institutions, digital health platforms, insurance and claims systems and other technology-driven healthcare services.Brig Dr Rakesh K Gupta, director, GIMS, said digital competencies were becoming increasingly important in healthcare and there was a need for professionals capable of bridging the gap between healthcare delivery and technology.The collaboration is aimed at strengthening digital health education and capacity building in Uttar Pradesh, while supporting the wider adoption of technology-enabled healthcare systems.The institute said the course would provide participants with specialised knowledge and practical skills to navigate the growing digital healthcare ecosystem.
