From Hooda’s lieutenant to his critic, Brahmachari’s jibe at Kuldeep Sharma
From Hooda’s deputy to his outspoken critic: Satpal Brahmachari’s pointed swipe at Kuldeep Sharma

Jind: Sonipat MP Satpal Brahmachari on Monday hit out at former Haryana assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma for seeking the removal of Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda from the Congress Working Committee, accusing him of “speaking BJP’s language” for personal interests and urging the party high command to take action against him.Speaking to media at his ashram in Pandu Pindara village, Brahmachari called Sharma “ungrateful” and said the leader, who once held a number-two position in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda govt, was now “looking at the political almanac” to find faults with the former CM and his son.Brahmachari said Deepender was the only young leader in the country consistently working on the ground for people across communities, farmers, labourers and unemployed youth. He also recalled Sharma’s electoral defeats, claiming Bhupinder Singh Hooda had helped him win the Ganaur assembly seat after his defeat in the Lok Sabha election and given him a key position in the govt.Brahmachari said the Hooda family had a long association with the Sikh community, claiming Deepender’s grandfather had travelled to Punjab nearly a century ago to fight for the rights of Sikhs. He also alleged that Sharma had been close to former Congress functionary Sajjan Kumar. Referring to a CBI report from 2002, Brahmachari claimed Sharma had attended and hosted events involving Kumar, including his son’s wedding at Kumar’s residence in 2011.Brahmachari said Sharma’s remarks against Deepender, particularly after Kumar’s death, were contrary to political and social etiquette. He accused Sharma of “speaking the language of the BJP and a few like-minded people” and damaging the Congress’s image. He urged the Congress high command to take cognisance of Sharma’s statements and act against what he called “self-serving leaders who speak the BJP’s language”.
