Ghaziabad: A 25-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his Indirapuram home on Thursday evening. His family had gone to attend a jagran when the incident took place.The man worked at a factory in Loni and lived with his parents and older brother in a flat in Abhay Khand.According to police, on Thursday, a relative who lived nearby came to visit while the rest of the family was out. When the man did not respond to knocking or calls, his cousin raised the alarm. Neighbours broke open the door and found the man hanging from the ceiling fan in his room.Police were informed and a team reached the spot. The body was sent for an autopsy and a forensic team has collected evidence from the scene. Results are awaited, police said.ACP (Indirapuram) Suryabali Maurya said that, while no suicide note has been recovered, preliminary investigation suggests the man had been under stress for some time.“The man’s family members said that he was under stress for some time but the reason behind the suicide is unknown. We have collected his two mobile phones and laptop to investigate,” the ACP said.
