Chennai: Former Ambasamudram MLA Esakki Subaya called on Speaker J C D Prabhakar at the secretariat on Friday and submitted his explanation for resigning from the MLA post.The explanation was in response to the show-cause notice issued to him following a representation from AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami. EPS has sought action against the party MLAs for `cross-voting’ during the motion of confidence in the assembly.Three other MLAs who resigned their post along with Esakki Subaya had appeared before the Speaker and submitted their explanations few days back.AIADMK has approached the Madras high court against the Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker for accepting the resignations of the rebel MLAs despite proceedings under the anti-defection law being pending.
