Lucknow: A large number of people from different districts of UP reached Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak’s residence in Lucknow on Monday to raise their grievances during a Janata Darshan programme. Pathak met the petitioners individually, heard their concerns and spoke to the officials concerned to direct necessary action.The grievances included matters related to medical treatment, financial assistance, police and revenue issues, family disputes and other administrative matters. Pathak directed officials to examine each case seriously and ensure action in accordance with eligibility and applicable rules.He instructed officials to ensure that there was no negligence in dealing with public complaints and that eligible beneficiaries did not face unnecessary delays in receiving relief.Pathak said resolving citizens’ grievances was among govt’s key priorities and that Janata Darshan was intended to provide people with direct access to authorities for redressal of their problems. He directed officials to regularly monitor complaints received during the programme and keep track of their progress.He stressed the need for time-bound and effective disposal of complaints, along with transparency and accountability in the process. Pathak said every petitioner should be heard with sensitivity and that genuine cases should receive appropriate relief in accordance with rules.
