As he resisted, one of the robbers brandished a knife, held it against his abdomen, and warned he would stab him if he resisted. Speaking to TOI, Shivanna said the miscreants were not covering their faces. More than five people witnessed the incident, but no one came forward to help. The miscreants intimidated him before forcibly robbing him of his mobile phone, an 8-gram gold chain, and his purse, and then escaped. The purse contained the Rs 15,000 cash he had collected from the customer. The stolen mobile phone is valued at around Rs 25,000, while the gold chain is estimated to be worth around Rs 1.5 lakh. Shivanna said, “I didn’t notice their faces. I was just focusing on getting out of the situation without being harmed.”Shaken by the incident, the victim returned to the service centre and informed his family before approaching police the next day.
