Kota: Rajasthan Education and Panchayati Raj minister Madan Dilawar Saturday made a surprise visit to the state-run Annapurna Rasoi at Keshavpura Chauraha to check food quality.Reaching around 2 pm with party workers, he sat like a common citizen, paid the bill, and ate lunch. While food quality met prescribed parameters, other lapses in the welfare food scheme were found. Rice was out of stock, chapatis were burnt, no serving staff was present, people served themselves and carried their own plates, tables were dirty, and there was no system or staff to clear used plates.Dilawar told the media, “If someone is coming here to eat, it is our govt’s commitment to ensure they receive food with full respect and dignity. However, I observed major flaws here — people were carrying food themselves, dirty plates were left uncollected, and proper seating arrangements were lacking.”He directed Kota Municipal Corporation commissioner OP Mehra to conduct a thorough probe and take stern action against those responsible. Mehra has been asked to investigate and ensure corrective measures.
