Jaipur: Dr Devendra Kumar played brilliantly in the golf tournament organised by Rotary Club Jaipur Golfers at the Rambagh Golf Club here recently.Devendra Kumar scored the highest score of 17 and became the winner. Runner-up Harpal Singh, who tied Haider Ali’s 16 points after the back six holes, won the match. Haider Ali was the first runner-up.Devendra consistently performed exceptionally well, winning and finishing runner-up, and winning the title of Best Golfer at the last Rotary Golf Championships. Dr BM Raturi also won the Best 70+ Veteran Golfer award with a 16, while Dr Anjali Jain won the Best Lady Golfer award with a score of 7.Around 40 male and female Rotarian golfers enthusiastically participated in this competition played in 9-hole stroke play format.

Surendra Singh won the Nearest to the Pin award by hitting the ball 27 feet from the pin on Hole No. 2. Ravindra Nath won the Straightest Drive award by hitting it 10 feet from the line, while Vinod Arya won the Longest Drive award by hitting a long drive of 242 feet.In the prize distribution ceremony, the winners and runners-up were awarded by the chief guest Rotarian District Governor Arun Bagadia, past district governor Alok Kala, former judge and president of Rotary Club Jaipur Golfers Rotarian JK Ranka, Senior Vice President Hem Singh Khangarot, Vice President BP Mundhra, Secretary Dr Anjali Jain, Joint Secretary Sandeep Mathur, Treasurer Naresh Rawatani. In the end, President Ranka stressed on promoting golf by organizing competitions at the state and national level.
