New Delhi: Getting a vehicle towed in Delhi may no longer mean making multiple enquiries with the traffic police. Vehicle owners can now check the location of their towed vehicles online through the upgraded Delhi Traffic Police website.Lieutenant governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu Thursday launched the revamped portal, aimed at making traffic-related services more accessible and convenient for commuters.The upgraded platform allows users to track the location of towed vehicles, check challans issued against their vehicles by entering the registration number and make payments through a QR code.Designed to be mobile-friendly, the website can be accessed on smartphones, tablets and other devices. It also provides real-time information on traffic congestion and helps commuters identify the most suitable routes for their journeys.An interactive section explaining road signs and markings has also been added to help users better understand traffic rules and regulations.The upgrade incorporates enhanced cybersecurity measures to provide a secure digital interface.Launching the website, Sandhu said the platform should evolve beyond an administrative interface and serve as an interactive hub for road safety awareness, civic education and citizen participation.The launch was attended by the Delhi police commissioner, special CP (Traffic), joint CP (Traffic), additional CPs (Traffic) and DCPs.
