Pune: Baner police have arrested Ramkishor Dabla (26), a resident of Bakkarwala in Delhi, after a gang attempted to break open several flats in a housing society in Baner around 2.30 am on Saturday.Police have also launched a search for his three accomplices. Chandrashekar Sawant, senior inspector of Baner police station, said, “The residents of the society woke up after the noises due to the break-in attempts by the suspects. They then alerted police.”The patrolling team reached the society and nabbed Dabla, while three others fled in the dark. Sawant said, “No item was stolen, but the suspects broke open locks of several flats.”“The flat owners have gone out of station, and they informed us that nothing costly was kept in their flats. We suspect that the gang is operating in Delhi and they decided to try their luck in Pune. We have been questioning Dabla about this,” he said.“We are checking if the Delhi police have their detail and crime records,” he said.
