Hisar: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday directed officials to ensure time-bound disposal of complaints.The CM was reviewing a meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee in Sirsa. Of the 16 complaints taken up at the meeting, 13 were resolved on the spot.Among the complainants was Vijay Kumar, a resident of Anand Vihar, who said he had been allotted flat No 387 in Sector 21 after depositing the required amount, but was yet to get physical possession of the apartment.He also alleged that basic facilities such as sewerage, water and electricity connections were unavailable.Saini directed officials to refund the amount with interest, if that was the complainant’s preference, and clear all pending refund cases within a month. He also ordered an inquiry into the alleged lapse and action against the official found responsible.Pawan Kumar, meanwhile, alleged that his wife and children were assaulted on temple premises and that no effective action was taken despite a police complaint. The CM directed officials to hear both sides and take appropriate action after an inquiry.In another case, Kanwarpura resident Ramgopal said over Rs 76,960 had been deducted from his account under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana for cotton crop insurance, but the claim had not been paid. Saini directed officials to examine the matter and resolve any technical issue to facilitate payment.CM also ordered an inquiry into a delay of around 18 months in a complaint concerning a disability certificate issued in the name of Krishna Devi. He directed the deputy commissioner to examine the conduct of officials responsible for keeping the matter pending.A complaint by the Janata Milk Society of Karivala village claimed irregularities in milk quality assessment and payment procedures at Sirsa milk plant. The complainant alleged that milk was rejected citing excessive caustic content and raised questions over the process for returning milk and making payments. Saini directed strict action.Anita Rani alleged that her husband Rajender Kumar and other family members were assaulted and later threatened. The CM directed the superintendent of police to hear both sides separately and resolve the matter.Sector 19 resident Chadat Singh sought a proper access road to his house, saying the issue remained unresolved despite earlier directions. Saini ordered an inquiry by a committee headed by the additional deputy commissioner.Dr Mohinder Bansal of Dabwali complained about an allegedly incorrect action-taken report regarding trees during divider renovation. Saini directed officials to replace damaged plants and ordered an inquiry by a committee.‘India progressing under PM Modi’Speaking to reporters after the meeting, CM Nayab Saini said India hosting the BRICS summit was a matter of pride, and claimed the country was making steady progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.He said resolving public grievances remained govt’s priority and district officials had been directed to dispose of complaints within stipulated timelines.On Punjab politics, Saini alleged that people were dissatisfied with the AAP govt. He also claimed that the Congress and other opposition parties were facing internal differences and infighting.He also expressed confidence that the BJP would form govt in Punjab in the future.CM pays tribute to Sukhchain SinghDuring his Sirsa visit, CM Nayab Saini also visited Kuttabadh village and paid floral tribute to soldier Sukhchain Singh, who died in line of service. He met the soldier’s mother Amar Kaur, wife Nirmal Kaur, brother Sarvjeet, son Akashdeep and other family members and assured them of all possible help.Saini said the sacrifice and courage of soldiers who lay down their lives defending the country would remain an inspiration, and that the nation would never forget their contribution.On his return from the village, Saini stopped his convoy at several places to interact with residents. He enquired about their well-being and asked villagers about farming, rainfall and irrigation water.Residents also raised road-related issues with him. The villagers said the CM listened to their concerns attentively.
