Bengaluru: A tipper-truck and a Bullet motorcycle caught fire after a collision on Kanakapura Road near Talaghattapura Monday afternoon.At 12.30pm, the truck hit the motorcycle from the rear, throwing its rider onto the road and dragging the bike under its wheels. The motorcycle’s petrol tank was damaged and its fuel started leaking. Fire was caused by sparks which ignited due to friction as the truck dragged the bike.The rider, identified as Dixit (26), a resident of Chunchaghatta, escaped with minor injuries, police said. The truck driver, Manoj, was booked for rash and negligent driving.“A fire tender doused the flames. However, as a precautionary measure, we stopped cars from plying near the burning vehicles,” a traffic police officer said.
