Hyderabad: Mancherial MLA K Prem Sagar Rao on Wednesday denied corruption allegations levelled against him, challenged his rivals for an open debate and asserted that he will produce documentary evidence to back his claims. The Congress leader, who is Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd chairperson, said he was prepared to submit evidence if a fact-finding committee is constituted.Rejecting allegations that he had misused Rs 450 crore, Rao said the amount referred to a bank loan sanctioned in 2009-10. “We took bank loans in the names of Sainath Private Limited and Bhagyanagar Hotels,” he said, questioning how the bank could have auctioned the assets for Rs 109.11 crore if there had been a Rs 450-crore fraud.He also alleged that leaders from the erstwhile Adilabad district were behind a campaign to defame him by spreading false propaganda.Rao said he would initiate legal action against those making what he described as baseless allegations.
