Lucknow: Burglars broke into an advocate’s house in Bijnor, decamped with jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh, cash and electronic items, and fled only after gulping beer and munching on snacks inside the residence.The theft took place in Subhash Nagar of New Rahimabad under the Bijnor police station limits. Complainant Shalini Srivastava said she, along with her husband, a CRPF personnel, and other family members, went to Lakhimpur on May 30.According to the complaint, the accused broke open the main gate around midnight on May 31, ransacked the house and decamped with gold and silver jewellery, Rs 20,000 in cash, a smart TV and a set-top box. Before leaving, they allegedly consumed beer, cold drinks and packaged snacks kept in the house. On June 1, a neighbour noticed the broken locks and informed the homeowners.
