Ghaziabad: Two persons, one of them a minor, were killed after an unidentified four-wheeler rammed into their bike from behind at Meerut Tiraha on Wednesday, police said. Their motorcycle allegedly lost balance and crashed into a divider.ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmad said around 1am on Wednesday, a passer-by informed the control room that two people were lying in an injured condition at the trisection. A PRV reached the spot and took them to Govt MMG Hospital, where they died during treatment. Their families were informed, and the bodies were sent for autopsy.Police said the deceased, Ravi Singh (26) and Rajeev Paswan (17) were co-workers at a jute company in Vijay Nagar. “Initial investigation revealed that around 8pm, Ravi arrived at Rajeev’s house on his bike and both went for a ride. We suspect that on Wednesday morning, Ravi was on his way to drop off his friend when the accident occurred. Neither of them was wearing a helmet,” the ACP said. “We believe that their heads must have struck the divider, resulting in their deaths.”The teenager’s father, Prem Paswan, said Rajeev was the elder of two brothers. The younger brother is 3 years old. Prem Paswan works as a labourer in a cement factory. Rajeev Singh’s father, Rajveer Singh, is an e-rickshaw mechanic.
