Bengaluru: An eight-year-old boy who went missing from home while playing on the roadside was reunited with his family.On the night of May 26, the police control room received a call stating a boy was spotted near gate no. 2 of MS Ramaiah College. The boy was crying and told Hoysala patrol police he lived in Mathikere. But he couldn’t recollect the address of his house or his mother’s mobile number.Hoysala staffers, assistant sub-inspector of police Narasimhamurthy and head constable Naveen Kumar, pacified the boy and gave him chocolates. They walked towards Mathikere and asked residents, shopowners and others whether they knew the boy. Finally, one of them recognised the child and shared his mother’s number. Narasimhamurthy called her and she responded. “Within one hour, the child was reunited with his family,” a senior police officer said.
