BENGALURU: Just days after the Karnataka government delivered a double blow to the public with back-to-back hikes in milk and curd prices and bus fares, household budgets are set to come under further strain, with the Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (KMF) sharply increasing the prices of Nandini ghee, butter and paneer. In what is being seen as one of the steepest price revisions in recent years, the revised rates came into effect on Wednesday (November 4), adding to the growing burden on consumers already grappling with rising dairy prices. The latest revision has pushed the price of ghee up by as much as Rs 135 per kg and butter by Rs 140 per kg, while paneer prices have also been increased.
