New Delhi: A Supreme Court advocate’s life was saved after she triggered an alert on Delhi Police’s ‘Say Help’ app on Monday.Police said the woman, a cardiac patient, developed severe medical distress at her Daryaganj residence while her husband was out to procure emergency medicines. On his return, he was stopped near Ghata Masjid due to heavy barricading and security arrangements around Red Fort for an ongoing procession, leaving him stranded.As her condition worsened, the woman collapsed in her kitchen but managed to activate the ‘I Need Help’ feature on the app.DCP (Central) Rohit Rajbir Singh said, “The SOS alert was instantly received by the creator of the app, who immediately intimated us regarding the emergency alert.” Acting on the input, a police team facilitated the husband’s movement through the restricted zone and rushed to the residence.“Within minutes, our team reached the spot with ambulance support, first-aid equipment and essential medicines, ensuring timely medical assistance to the woman,” the officer added.
