Ahmedabad: The state unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released its manifesto for the upcoming local body elections in Gujarat, promising to improve education and health services, ensure equitable rural development, and provide basic infrastructure in all villages. After releasing the manifesto, state AAP president Isudan Gadhvi and general secretary Sagar Rabari told reporters that despite threats and coercion, more than 5,000 AAP candidates are contesting polls for municipal corporations, municipalities, district panchayats, and taluka panchayats.Gadhvi claimed that his party would fulfill all promises made to citizens, asserting that development will not be imposed without consulting the people. The party emphasized the recruitment of teachers in rural areas and the creation of better educational infrastructure.“To make health services more accessible, PHC and CHC centres in every village will be managed effectively, ensuring adequate medicines and the availability of doctors,” Gadhvi said. He added that strong, durable roads will be constructed in rural areas with regular maintenance, making it easier for people to commute and for farmers to reach their fields.Gadhvi further claimed that cases have been registered against more than 150 AAP workers in recent weeks, which he suggested indicates that his party has the support of the common man.
