Kolkata Durga Puja: Pandal-Hopping Focus On Lebutala & Deshapriya Park

Kolkata: Kolkata Police expect large crowds between 5 pm and 9 pm on puja days, especially near Sealdah railway and metro stations, besides Rash Behari Avenue.Police will separate pedestrian routes at some spots. Santosh Mitra Square will be separated from College Square. Chetla Agrani will be separated from Deshapriya Park. Entry and exit points at Santosh Mitra Square will be on BB Ganguly Street. In case of larger crowd, another route will be opened near Jagat Cinema. At Sealdah, cops want people to use the subway between railway and Metro stations. At Rash Behari Crossing, police may allow vehicles to move for 7 to 10 minutes. Certain Metro gates will be marked for entry and exit. Vehicles, especially buses going toward Tollygunge Circular Road and Durgapur Bridge, may be diverted through Hazra and Alipore Road.Police expect heavy pedestrian movement at Ahindra Mancha Crossing in Chetla, and at Tara Road and Mysore Road crossings on Rash Behari Avenue.
