Jaipur: Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (Ekikrit) has urged the state govt to clear pending payments of privilege leave (PL) and General Provident Fund (GPF-SI) for education department employees, claiming that applications for PL encashment have been pending for over six months in several districts.State president Ranjeet Meena said nearly one lakh employees across Rajasthan are affected by the delay. “This is the employees’ own money, and not releasing it is not right,” he said. In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the organisation said employees were being told that payments could not be made due to lack of budget. The organisation urged govt to direct all district treasuries to clear the payments before Dussehra and Diwali. It also sought instructions for districts to immediately raise budget demands where funds were insufficient and release payments once funds were received.
