LUDHIANA: The body of singer and lyricist Baljit Singh was found under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Patti Dhaliwal locality of Sudhar on Thursday.Baljit, who lived alone, had reportedly been missing for the past four to five days.Sources said that his relatives, who had not heard from him, went to his house on Thursday morning and found his body lying on a bed.They added that body had started decomposing, indicating that it had been lying there for several days.Police have started probing the matter.Sudhar police station SHO Kulwinder Singh reached the spot along with a police team.Police sources said that teams from the forensic department, dog squad and CIA were also called in to collect evidence from the house and surrounding area.The body was handed over to the family after the postmortem examination.SHO said that the deceased had died of heart attack and ruled out any foul play.He added that the deceased was unmarried and was living alone after the death of his parents.SHO further said that Baljit had drugs related case against him in the past.He added that the deceased was not hooked to drugs.
