Hyderabad: The chairman of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) disciplinary action committee, Mallu Ravi, on Sunday said notices have been issued to party leaders Hari Prasad and Krishna Kishore following complaints of anti-party activities in the recent municipal elections.Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he said the complaint was lodged by Palkurthi MLA Yashaswini and party in-charge Jhansi Reddy, alleging that both leaders worked against the Congress party in municipal elections.“While Krishna Kishore informed the committee he is currently in the United States, Hari Prasad cited a family function for not attending the inquiry. Show-cause notices have been issued to Hari Prasad and Krishna Kishore, directing them to submit their explanations within 10 days,” said Mallu Ravi.Expressing concern over party leaders making statements that have the potential to cause embarrassment to the Congress, the disciplinary action committee chairman warned that indiscipline would not be tolerated. Mallu Ravi sought to advise the party members to raise their grievances with TPCC leadership, including party in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, while govt-related issues should be brought to the notice of chief minister A Revanth Reddy.Referring to the RTC bus strike being called off, he said the RTC employees’ and workers’ demands have been addressed and assured that the govt would not allow injustice to workers, terming any worker’s death as unfortunate.Responding to Kavitha’s criticism of chief minister A Revanth Reddy, Mallu Ravi, who is also an MP from Nagarkurnool, demanded that Kavitha should withdraw her remarks and face the public to understand the ground reality.“Anyone can launch a political party in a democracy. But Kavitha should remember the fact that she held key positions during the 10 years of the previous BRS govt before making baseless allegations against CM Revanth and the incumbent govt. Kavitha was also arrested in the liquor case,” Mallu Ravi said.
