Jhunjhunu: Youths from Kakray village in the Khetri sub-division area of Jhunjhunu reached the SDM office on Thursday to protest alleged encroachment on the village playground and submitted a memorandum demanding that the ground be freed.A large number of youths gathered at the Khetri sub-divisional office and asked the administration to remove the alleged encroachment from the playground. They said the ground had been used for sports activities for about 50 years and alleged that some people were now accused of encroaching on it, which caused anger among villagers.The rural youths said the playground was important for children and youths in the village, and that the alleged encroachment was affecting sports activities. They also said there was a possibility of mutual discord arising in the village due to the issue.They demanded that the administration conduct an impartial investigation and free the playground from encroachment as soon as possible. They warned that if prompt action was not taken and the investigation was not impartial, they would be forced to launch an agitation.The youths who submitted the memorandum said the administration would be responsible for any upcoming agitation. They demanded that the administration act soon and keep the village playground safe.
